As to induce the crane accident, the engineer should operate the double girder overhead crane as the correct procedures. Howerver, do you know the whole operating procedured of double beam bridge crane? if you do not know it at all or you only know a little, today, nucleon engineer will talk about it.
Operating procedures of double beam bridge crane:
1. Before work
a. Check the requirements of the inspection card for brakes, hooks, wire ropes, and safety devices. If any abnormalities are found, they should be eliminated first.
b. The operator must close the main power supply when it is confirmed that there is no person on the walkway or on the track. When the power circuit breaker is locked or there is a sign board, the main power source must be closed by the original person concerned.
2. At work
a. When lifting heavy objects for the first time in each shift (or when the load reaches the maximum weight), the weight should be lowered again after being lifted off the ground at a height of 0.5 meters. Check the performance of the brake. After verifying the reliability, perform normal operations.
b. In the operation, the operator should ring the following items in accordance with the regulations.
1 Lifting, landing heavy objects; when driving large and small cars.
2 When the eot crane is running, the alarm will be ringed continuously when the line of sight is not clear.
3 When the crane is traveling close to another crane inside.
4 When lifting heavy objects close to people.
c. Operation instructions shall be carried out in accordance with the unified directive signal.
d. In the event of a sudden power outage during work, all controller handles should be placed in the “zero” position. Before resuming work, check that the crane operation is normal.
e. In normal operation, overhead cranes and trolleys are strictly prohibited from opening the anti-vehicle brake; when changing the direction of movement of the big and small cars, the handle must be placed in the “zero” position so that the mechanism can completely stop running before it can drive in the reverse direction.
f. For cranes with two hooks, when the main and auxiliary hooks are changed and when the two hooks are of similar height, the main hook and the sub hook must be operated separately to prevent the two hooks from colliding.
g. The cranes with two hooks are not allowed to hang two objects at the same time with the two hooks; the brakes for the hoisting mechanism are adjusted in case of no work.
h. Do not use the limit position limiter to stop, and it is forbidden to adjust the lifting mechanism brake under load.
i. Strict implementation of the "ten do not hang" system:
1 The command signal is unknown or the command is not hoisted;
2 Do not hang when exceeding the rated capacity;
3 The use of the spreader is unreasonable or the object is tied loosely;
4 There are people on the hanging or other floating objects not hanging;
5 brake or other brake safety device failure does not hang;
6 The crane hanging weights are not lifted when processed directly;
7 oblique hanging does not hang;
8 has explosive objects do not hang;
9 Buried in underground objects without lifting;
10 pieces with angular mouthpieces, no padding or hanging;
j. If any abnormality is found, stop the machine immediately and check the cause and remove it in time.
3. After work
a. Raise the hook to a certain height, the cart and the trolley are parked at the designated position, the controller handle is placed at “zero” position; the handle of the protection box switch is pulled down, and the power is cut off.
b. Perform routine maintenance.
c. Do a good job in handover work.
